The flicker of Hope

I use to believe in fate,
so I sat and wait,
as the world continued to rotate
the galaxy vociferate.
I was shattered
but among the pieces I picked up the dagger.
My dream just died,
mourning for you and darkness tired.
Cracking through the curtains of lights,
to spark flicker of hope
in dying heart and flickering mind,
but it was incapable to handle
the weight of my love for you.
Still I set canvas beneath my soul,
paint me in your winter dreams with sand stuck at the balls of your feet,
take me to the places where we haven't been with open heart,
grasses shining green.
Yet at some point I realize,
some wounds take more than a lifetime to heal.
and so it makes me cringe,
the rhythm of my heart hoarse
wanting to collaborate the drumming of yours,
and the stars began to translate
that I may never meet my soulmate.
